The Ayers Pear is a fruiting tree. Blooms will be in clusters of fragrant, pink and white flowers in the spring. Yellow pears with a red blush fruit will begin to form, and ripen in mid summer. The Ayers Pear will grow to heights of 20-30 feet tall and widths of 12-15 feet at maturity. The trees are self fruiting, but will yield a larger crop when planted within 50′ of our Bartlett Pear. As with all fruit trees, it is important to keep them watered during periods of drought. Ripens late August. Full sun is recommended. 600 chill hours are required.
